I'm not a Calzaghe hater but you've gotta be F**KING kidding. I think he's better than many people say. If his slaps were as pitiful as they look then Hopkins and an old Roy Jones Jr. would have walked right through them.

But best fighter of the last twenty years? No. He was a belt holder one of the best SMW of his time but he didn't unify and clean out his division. Holyfield, Lewis, Roy Jones Jr, Hopkins, Tszyo, JMM, Mayweather, VK among others have all arguably as good or better careers.

The 0 next to his name means little as he didn't clear out his division.

Calzaghe was no ATG but he was a good fighter with amazing drive and relentless will. I enjoyed him when he was around. He made a terrible mistake running away from the sport the way he did. He's been paying for it ever since. It won't be the sort of legacy he had at one point hoped for.
