Ignore everything not bolded as it supersedes everything else and makes it nonsensical.

During the official weigh in for their 144 lb bout, Marquez weighed in at 142 lbs and Mayweather weighed in at 146 lbs thereby incurring a financial penalty ($300,000 for each pound over 144 lbs[5]) as he was 2 pounds over the catchweight.[8] It was later revealed that the contract was changed a few days prior to the weigh in so that Mayweather would be allowed to weigh up to the welterweight limit of 147 lbs while avoiding paying an additional fine to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, in addition to the fine he agreed to pay to Marquez

Of course I believe he wanted the fight. Why would he negotiate, agree to 50/50 and compromise on a cutoff date? Look, unlike you. I am not here championing and making excuses for everything Floyd does. Of course he could've made the fight and I wish he would've. I still wish he would. He is an egomaniac who loves money and wants the world and especially Arum & Pac to know that HE is in charge. Fans be damed! I don't agree with that. But I also don't agree with is the stance that Pac has taken. He was wrong for not accepting the best offer to have the fight made period. He is wrong to have dragged his feet and made so many excuses for not having enhanced drug testing, only to now do the direct opposite and pretend he never made those excuses. He was also wrong to cling to 50/50 when clearly he was the B side and not as big a draw. They both have blame, but when we had the best chance at the most relevant time to see the fight, it was PAC'S FAULT! Be a man and call a spade a spade!
Say what? According to whom that Manny is the B side of the fight because from where I stand neither man has a right to that claim. But if one did it would have been Manny since he was regarded as the best fighter in the world at the time, and selling millions on Pay Per View.

Also you call me a Manny fan but aren't you just as much as a Floyd fan. The funny thing is you don't even understand what's going on, we both have picked a side to agree with but you seem to believe since I chose opposite of you I'm not a "real boxing fan", whatever that means.

What is a real boxing fight, I watch every show that comes on, I watch fights from the past during the 60's on up and I buy majority of ppv events. You don't seem to have much sense.

Speaking slow, serious question. Are you ******ed? As it states above in the link that YOU PROVIDED, the contract was changed a few days before the fight, so that Floyd could weigh in up to 147. The stipulation in the contract was that anything above 144 would be 300k extra for Marquez. At the weigh in, Floyd was 146. 146-144= 2lbs or 600k extra for Marquez. If Floyd was overweight, he would've incurred fine from Nevada State Athletic Commission. He did not. It's so fun making you my B*TCH!

If your a "boxing fan" not a "Manny fan" you should know. It was common knowledge, although many distorted the facts and said Floyd came in overweight.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. weighed in at 146 pounds on Friday afternoon, two pounds heavier than the weight stipulated in the contract for his comeback fight against lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

So they agree to change the weight of the fight threedays before the fight and you who claims to be a real boxing fan will say this isn't considered missing weight.

Just face it Floyd missed weight they agreeded to weight to a weight limit 10 weeks before the fight but since Floyd couldn't make the weight they changed the rules just three days before the fight so Floyd would't get punished by the commision. He still payed Marquez for missing weight, the originally agreeded upon weight, not no bull**** weight Floyd pull out his behind at the last minute.

Simply put Floyd missed the contracted weight limit, he got a pass on it by the commision because he notified them, not even on time however, about not being able to make weight.
