lucas doesn't always "swing wide", how many of his fights have you watched?
his KO of Mike Dallas was a thing of beauty
I've seen his last 4 fights and he has many of those moments, i have a question, what high quality opponents does he have on his resume? my thing is most brawlers lose to great BOXERS and i dont see this being any different, yeah he's fun to watch but Floyd usually takes away his opponents best weapons and then they look like sparring partners. This will be exciting leading up to the fight, but after about rd 3, I think it will be potshot class. No hate just observation.
Probably the easiest fight to score in boxing history.
Yeah because floyd constantly fights huge threats smh.I favor floyd going in but this isn't nowhere near as easy as ppl make it out to be.Nothing easy about lucas.
I think it would be far more competitive than many here think.
I was watching again the fight against Victor Ortiz today, man, Floyd was never half as good as lots of fanboys seem to think, he was looking downright bad at times against a mediocre Ortiz.
Floyd's style would sure cause problems to Matthysse, but I wouldnt be surprised either if he catches him and leaves him unconcious on the canvas.
Yup,I'm not making prediction unless fight actually happens but it's a lot closer than ppl think & very intriguing fight.Great fight regardless of result.
I hope you dont take this the wrong way:
If you think Baldomir is anything like Matthysse, you're a fking ******.
Not only do you know shít about boxing, you're too lazy to even check wikipedia and see that he already had like 6 losses against Argentine fighters even before making a fight in USA. The guys has heart, but he was always a damn punching bag with laughable KO% and nothing more.
Just another example of Floyd's cherry picking even in his good times. Proof that a real boxer like Matthysse could potentially reconfigure his face.
Whoooaaa I thought Ortiz was a cherry pick......B4 Ghost this was said

You guys crack me up
Oh, you mean you didnt know Floyd doesnt pick a fight he cant win? Really?
Pacman, Maravilla back when he wasnt 40 years old and full of injuries just to name a couple.
You think Canelo isnt a nice plump cherry?

one problem, Lucas isn't a "brawler", he's a boxer/puncher.
Hard to say. All Lucas really needs is one punch to land and it doesn't have to be flush either. Lucas is generally always busy in the ring so it could come any time, he just needs to apply pressure.
Mayweather may end up using his speed and reach to keep Lucas at bay. There will be a lot of clinching and I don't see either fighter gassing out.
This fight should happen & Lucas is the guy that ends that undefeated streak.
Floyd avoids guys who can't cut a ring off for a reason. Not saying he isn't a great fighter but its not exactly too difficult to potshot a guy who does zero but plod forward then present a squared up static target.
How many guys have doubled up against Floyd? All they ever seem to do is headhunt & throw the same predictable combinations & most of the time not even combinations.
The only guy who has fought Floyd in recent years off the top of my head and shown any damn variety or thought process in their work was Miguel Cotto and he did reasonable.
Canelo is just another guy completely made to order in my eyes. Floyd is a hell of a fighter but I just can't sit and b/s the guy doesn't cherrypick and fight opposition absolutely made for him.
That is why I'd like to see Floyd fight a guy like Lucas or an Erislandy Lara.

I think you're likely to get your wish if Mayweather beats Canelo and Lucas beats Garcia.
