  • Comments Thread For: Keith Thurman Advises Amir Khan To Stay Away From 147

Hard hitting WBA interim-welterweight champiopn Keith Thurman (21-0, 19KOs) has advised Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs) to stay away from 147-pounds. Khan is looking to make a full welterweight debut on December 7th, with IBF champion Devon Alexander as a possible opponent. He says Khan couldn't take hard punches at junior welterweight and won't be capable of taking the much harders shots from the upper-tier fighters at 147.

I'm not on the Thurman bandwagon yet, but I'm certainly warming up to the guy. With that said, he speaks the truth here. If Khan were to step in the ring with him (I'll give him his warrior kudos if he does), Thurman will end up committing sanctioned manslaughter.

I wouldn't mind Thurman-Khan. Thurman stops him in 5-6 rounds if it happened.

Watching him get rattled countless times in his last fight makes me inclined to agree with Mr.Thurman.

I advise Keith Thruman to stay away from a mirror to avoid seeing how ridiculous he looks.
