Good for Lucas to cancel the tour, it is just nonsense to do the tour right now, specially for Lucas. Danny's right, just do the talking in ring. The event promotes itself.

Don't cry if he beats Garcia and doesn't get the Floyd fight and then has no opponent who will help him fill up a 200 seat room.

That tour will take a week off from his training camp. Yea he can find a gym in any city but it takes away from a fighters rhythm. He also has to fly thousands of miles to and from the US and things like jet lag and stuff can get you off that rhythm. When was the last time there was a press tour a month out from a big fight? Name one. They dont happen for a reason

Angel Garcia has good mental strategies to throw opponents off. that should not be taking lightly. Again, Manny Pacquiao bounces back and forth from the Philippines to the USA frequently but he does it with a smile and consistently like other fighters/boxers from across the waters. Matthysse has to fly 1000's of miles to come fight so what's the difference? How will this affect Matthysse performance? A week out of his life destroys everything he build up? I don't buy it.

No Pacquiao does not bounce back and forth. He starts in the Philipines and finishes at the Wild Card Gym. He doesn't go here and there then back to the Philipines.

A tour at this stage would be a major distraction for both fighters, the groundwork has already been laid, that's all that matters. Its gonna be a great night for boxing!

This was a chance for Matthysse to talk to his fans, and get a bit of exposure, and he wants to train, lmao. You can still do that and do a quick tour. Even if he is part of a 24/7 SHO or however they do it on SHO the casual fans won't watch it because they don't know Matthysse. The diehards will love it.

The reason this fight in on the undercard because nobody would've bought Matthysse Garcia. I know SHO crunched the numbers. This undercard fight won't get Matthysse known if he wins. Right now Garcia has the bigger name, and he isn't even known.

And then there are guys like Matthysse who have never been in that moment who are deep down fascinated, but scared of that type of attention. It's not a negative. The superstars stay superstars, and the Matthysse's...usually get respect by the diehards, and stay unknown to the masses.

All these pages, you would think the fight got cancelled. It's a little unprofessional but at the end of the day this will have no effect on the outcome of the fight.
