Admittedly GGG is over hyped, and I have said it before, but he has fought fighters in the top ten or hovering around the top ten. While Stevens got dominated by Jesse Brinkley a couple of years ago. That in itself should be enough said. But he also got knocked out by a fighter that was in the middle of an 0-17 run. So in my opinion if GGG is being overly hyped there is no logical explanation for the hype that surrounds Stevens for knocking out a fighter that spends a good bit of time getting knocked out.

Actually, Margarito lost to Daniel Santos and an unproven Paul Williams when all these guys were allagedly ducking him. Maybe had he not kept losing, he wouldn't have been so easy to "duck."

Some GGG groupies are afraid that Stevens may end the hype of GGG.So as a result, they don`t want to see a fight between the 2.GGG never beat any live dogs but these same people claim Ward is ducking GGG.

Nobody is hyping up Stevens,The point is is that Stevens is the best available opponent for GGG.Martin Murray said he can`t get a visa to come and fight GGG.So who else is available for GGG?Aside from bum fighters who have absolutely no chance.Like Frank Duckets said,Stevens have a small chance at winning cause he can punch.

GGG has a silver medal from the olympics where he lost in the finals against gaydarbekov who was a very good amateur fighter. He is now a middleweight champion, nothing special with being undefeated but just seeing him go thru fighters, top elite fighters the way he does is unbelievable. So when i read that someone thinks that GGG is overrated, i dont know what kind of sport you really follow? Are you on the right forum boy? Compared to WHO are GGG overrated? Sturm? Abraham? or perhaps Martinez? They all good fighters and Martinez is probably on top of the division, but GGG dominates them all.

No he looks scared! Who could Martinez face at 160 right now who is more credible then GGG? I'll wait all day to hear that.

I dont think we have seen enough from golovkin to say hes the next big thing in the middleweight division,I think alot of supposed fans are jumping on the ggg bandwagon,as they did with mathysse and are making him bigger then he is.....theres plenty of other fighters out there who would give him the 2status like Murray, sturm,Mora even Stevens.....I actually liks the Stevens fight,it kinda reminds me of tyszu vs Mitchell...will it put him closer sure, but he needs to beat the other fighters to get Martinez, hes got enough time cuz Martinez is gonna fight.a tuneup first then fight ggg,,if he doesnt lose by that time

But Martinez wants to fight Floyd/Canelo next year and made no mention of being hurt. So why can't he face the other #1 contender at 160? Could it be he is scared? It sure sounds like it to me.
