Pretty much. Stevens is a decent fighter, but nowhere near the level of GGG and definitely a step below guys like Macklin, Geale, Murray, Barker, and Quillen.

GGG will never eat the right hands that Stevens threw tonight.

Yeah, but it doesn't hurt GGG to fight him since he is on a busy fighting schedule anyway. Might as well fight him.

Bottom line is everyone can say this guy and that guy are not at GGG's level. So why don't we just call GGG the best, mummify him, store him in a Pyramid, and have him fight no one ever again????? I'd bet the odds for Stevens would be close to what Adonis Stevenson had against Dawson and we saw what happened there. Almost everyone was saying Stevenson was not on Dawson's level and we saw how that went. Never discount a guy with crushing power. I bet some of the same people who said Dawson was on a different level than Stevens are saying the same thing about GGG. Anything can happen in Boxing. I doubt there is a single person here all adamant about Stevens not being on same level sure as hell aren't going to bet their job, house, or car on GGG winning the fight.

The difference between Golovkin and Curtis Stevens is like comparing a Ferrari to a Volkswagen Bug. Gennady is way more skilled than this kid, Stevens looks good against journeyman & sparring partner types, but will look like an amateur against Golovkin. It will be fun to watch as long as it lasts however.

Pump is coming with it with these articles. War Stevens. GG, here's a guy who will fight you, and now he's not worthy says your own fans. They complain about this guy and that guy ducking GG. Well, here is Stevens. He's fought Dirrell, and Brinkley and others, but he's not worthy. Foh. They want to keep bigging GG up as some ko king. He might be that dude, but I gotta see for myself if he's that dude.

For all the talk about Stevens opposition, outside of a scared Macklin and a tough BUT not quite a Middleweight Rosado, GGG hasn't exactly faced a murderer's row of opposition either...

Not dumping on the guy, but it is a FACT.
