I dont think he has the skills but hes a better op than what hed be able to get at this point. Keep busy fight with SOME buzz? Might as well that way hes not stuck waiting on Jr, Geale and Quillin. Martinez seems dead set on Canelo or Floyd or a big money fight before retiring so that fight will probably never happen.

Two wins over club fighters won't convince me that he's gotten better, I like to see this stuff done against atleast B fighters for me to believe that he's gotten better from the man I considered the bum who not only lost, but was hurt and rocked around the ring against that bum Brinkley back on FNF a few years ago. He shouldn't event be talking about any title holder yet until he steps it up. You've smashed gate keepers and is looking good, now lets see you do it against someone in the top 10.

It would be exciting for the two or three rounds before it ends, am sure Curtis would go for it in those rounds and that would be his only chance/choice before he gets put out of his misery.

If GGG is as good as everybody says he is then Stevens will simply be a stay busy fight like Ishida was. He did say he wanted to fight twice before the end of the year right?

The issue is, Stevens will get the better date, on HBO. For one, his promoter is already reluctant, no way they let him sign for non HBO money. Plus the HBO date is at MSG, so Stevens makes sense cause he'll bring some fans. But if there's nothing better out there, why not, will be fun.

I never thought Stevens was that good. The problem is he tires really badly & cannot box worth a damn. GGG will drag this into the later round and punish his leaky defense. This is actually a pretty easy fight for GGG vs when I thought Macklin would be the more dangerous fight for him. Stevens can crack an egg!!! That's 4 sure

GGG is great at cutting off the ring I think Stevens can go 8 plus rounds with him if he keeps the fight in the center of the ring and stay off the ropes the longer he can survive the better chance he can land that powerful left hook
