Think Pulev beats anyone not named Haye or Klitschko right now and I'm not so sure about Haye or mummy Vitali. Some of his game is subtle. He don't look amazing but if you watch him enough you might be impressed with what he does. He's relaxed about it but that jab breaks spirits. His right hand is awkward but effective. He can go to the body from long range too. Pulev's a stone cold pimp. Thompson is a great fight for him and if he wins it he's the best challenger out there who ain't had his shot yet.

Ha ha ha, he may be ducked, but he's nothing special. Wladimir won't be having sleepless nights over this guy.

Saying that, he's the best of the 'contenders'. He stocks power, is durable and throws a nice variety of shots.

Pulev´s recent wins came by way of jabbing-into-surrender against bigger opponents which is kind of impressive. Can he do it to Wlad? 100% NOT. Pulev´s jab is excellent but no match to Wlad´s.

My thing is this-reason I want to see Pulev in with Klitschko and why I think it's interesting is sometimes if a guy does what you do even if they don't do it better it can throw you off. Sometimes a southpaw gets in with another southpaw and it jinxes him even if he's better. A guy gets thrown by another jab artist even if he can jab better, sometimes a great body puncher doesn't deal well with a particularly good body puncher, etc.

I haven't seen a guy with as good as Pulev's jab who was tall enough to bother and really even tried to jab with him from outside. The last guy that I can remember jabbing with Wlad was an old and much shorter Mercer before Wlad matured and Wlad kind of ate them and killed Mercer in a way that doesn't look anything like how he's been fighting in the past nine years. Maybe Pulev won't be able to do anything that's why I want to see it and find it interesting.

Good points there. Don´t get me wrong: I absolutely want to see Pulev vs Wlad. I just don´t think Pulev has the right tools, but anything can happen in a HW fight.. That said, the biggest concern for Pulev right now should be how to beat Thompson.

It is a good test for Pulev though who gets a lot of hype for somebody who nobody was even talking about last year at this time and hasnt fought since.
Ha! We've got a classic golden era nuthugger here! Sure, 5'10 185 Marciano who never fought a good HW heavier than 200 pounds beats 6'5 260 top modern contender Thompson. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrre. Ironically, this is the same type of guy who would probably be saying Thompson is one of the 5 best ever if the K's had never existed, and Thompson was a fairly dominant (American) champ, as would have been imaginable otherwise.

What does beating TT prove though? That Pulev is on the level of Wlad or Haye?

Yes TT beat Price twice, but Price was never good to start with, we all heard about the glass jaw, we all knew about the stamina issues.

TT aint the heaviest puncher, he's old, he was put to the canvas in his last fight, Pulev shud win this easily, if he is decent

I'd like to see Pulev against Del Boy, then we can really see if he is the real deal

I think their fight proved they're not on the same level. I'd like to see him fight Del Boy too, I'd like to see him fight Haye even more.

Thompson vs wlad 3 would be lame! Lennox lewis vacated a belt instead of giving akinwande a rematch when he became a mandatory challenger again. No one wanted to see that just like no one wants to see TT get a 3rd shot at wlad...fight your brother for all the belts or get vitali to retire. We dont need 2 champions anymore even if its for 1 day...
