WHen manny's promoter asked JMM and Tim to sign with TR to get the fight were those roadblocks? IMO, no because those fighters manned up and signed to fight.
Why do you and other manny fans call things roadblocks when manny doesn't step up and sign to fight? WHy does manny make them roadblocks and not other fighters like rios, jmm, and bradley?
JMM essentially did use a roadblock with Bradley, the ****** hydration clause thing, and he's also evidently refusing to do as agreed and be tested by VADA etc, seems like a dumb roadblock to me which is holding up the Bradley - Marquez fight. If Pacquaio started working with Angel I would be su****ious too.
We call it roadblocks because if you look through Mayweathers history between him and Pacquaio it is evident using common sense the guy does not want the fight, he never once went back and said "sure we can split PPV, I just want the fight". For someone who calls the shots he has no idea how to get a fight made with the joint-biggest star in boxing.
First of all you don't go accusing him of PEDS out of the blue publicly, then he throws Olympic testing with previous knowledge that Manny psychology and physically hates having blood taken (leading to all the cut off dates crap), then end up offering him a pathetic 40m no ppv deal which is an insult, and when Manny agrees to everything after a while of back and forth Floyd goes quiet and don't say ****. Now Manny has to fight a few times under Mayweather promotions (pretty much run by GBP) before he can get a shot at Mayweather, with zero guarantee he would follow his word?
It is obviously road blocks. Nobody with the intention to fight brings up that many extraordinarily ****** options to a fight who is equal or greater than him in star power (specifically at the time). JMM and Bradley ain't even close to either in any respect.Last edited by T18Z; 08-02-2013, 01:55 PM.

Oh no, not another stadium gag.... Save it Arum. Pac might have said he would agree to testing, but he was always had a fight secured already. He never put pen to paper...only mouth to tv who will always drink the Kool-Aid. Anyway even if the fight did happen Pac would still have to take a lesser slice of the pie. Doesn't matter if he beats rios or not. Arum isn't into profit sharing. When are people going to understand that. He will in house it all day until Pac's wheels fall off. Let's see if Pac resigns with Arum when his extension is up.
He doesn't need the Bob Father to promote anything. He's already popular. Get with it Manny. Become a free agent.

Oh look, there must be a Pacquiao fight coming up. Because Bob Arum is mentioning Floyd Mayweather's name again for attention.

The funny part is that Arum still talks like Top Rank can dictate the terms of a fight between Mayweather. That ship has saled in 09. The fight ain't happening so I wish journalists would stop asking Arum and Mayweather about it. Juan Manuel Marquez took something from Manny in his last fight and we will see it in the Rios fight. Manny may indeed win but he is going to get hit.

using your leveage doesn't mean you don't want to fight. Manny didn't say hey JMM here is $10 mil I want to avenge the KO" but you wouldn't say manny using his leverage like that is indicative of not wanting fight. You can't just keep switching how you interpret actions when both fighters are doing the same thing
couple things-they are not the joint biggest stars. floyd is 1 manny is 2. period. secondly-when floyd made it easy to sign (50/50) manny walked away over a test. Now I know you and his fans say it was the psychological thing (which you know was BS he jut lost to Morales) but he and his team cited "fear of needls" as well. I think any reasonable person knows these are bull**** excuses and in no way makes the request roadblocks.
Alot else happened between 2009 and the $40 mil no ppv offer. The $40 mil no ppv offer was crap-but gicing manny 12% more than he ever made isn't insulting. if it is, this is the same level of offers manny and his team have made to JMM, cotto etc.
Which is essentially my point-floyd is treating manny the way manny treats his opponents. Now if thats wrong fine-but you nor other manny fans see any problems with it when manny is doing it. this leads me to conclude that these things are not "roadblocks" per say but only called "roadblocks" by you to justify manny making a decision that prevents you from seeing the fight you want. Only you don't want to hold him accountable for his own actions.
Again you are referencing star power to justify manny doing it to those beneath him. the width/gap between level of stardom doesn't make manny's doing it ok and floyd doing it a "roadblock". thats insane to switch your definitionbased purely on gap/width of star power.
I'm sure you think manny had every intention of fighting rios when he asked for ped testing. so why is it different for floyd?Last edited by The Big Dunn; 08-02-2013, 02:14 PM.
