Not heard the exact numbers from the Haye Vs Fury to see how much both guys are getting just rumours at the moment but you're probably right, I was more taking into account that the Russians actually got Wladimir over to their home land so I could only imagine he is being paid a huge amount. Both Haye and Fury will make more than Povetkin, only Wlad will make more. At the same time, Haye-Fury will most likely generate most money at the same time, being on PPV and having the British market behind it.
IF Fury beats Haye, he would no doubt be a shoe-in for a crack at the title, and rightly so.
20plus million euros something along that line.Comment

It'd be great news. I swear he's the most hyped trainer in the UK.
His 'plan' for the Wladimir fight was pathetic. He was well and truly exposed.Comment

I think both Haye and Fury are estimated to get something around £5m each. It's expected to do as well or better as Harrison-Haye which was the first £10m fight on British soil. I think Povetkin and Wlad are both getting fixed pursed of $6m and $17m respectively. So Wlad is getting near the amount, if not a little more, than he got for the Haye fight. Not heard the exact numbers from the Haye Vs Fury to see how much both guys are getting just rumours at the moment but you're probably right, I was more taking into account that the Russians actually got Wladimir over to their home land so I could only imagine he is being paid a huge amount.

He must be pleased with that.Comment

Isn't Povetkin's split (of the purse) c. €5m?Not heard the exact numbers from the Haye Vs Fury to see how much both guys are getting just rumours at the moment but you're probably right, I was more taking into account that the Russians actually got Wladimir over to their home land so I could only imagine he is being paid a huge amount.

Why is he hyped? Based on a single fight? Come on.
Wlad is getting approx 75% of $23m purse which equates to $17m more or less. That leaves $6m for Povetkin or just about 5,5m euro.Comment

OK - I could only laugh at the last part. No one in their right mind would say that. But I don't even think there's much hype about him. I think he's a good trainer, after all, he's only really had two fighters and one was champion in two weightclasses after 25 fights, the other has just secured a shot at two titles after 18 or 19 fights.
But whether he's a great trainer or not, will never be proven before he takes on a bigger stable and has multiple world champions.
But he will never eclipse Steward. Imo, the greatest trainer of all times.Comment
