Did you see Groves in the amateurs? He was a brawler with little technique and no finesse. He would also go berserk every time he was touched. Booth has managed to smooth some of the edges out, and Groves is now a very good fighter. He's got a beautiful jab, good footwork and a good right hand as well. Attributes developed by Booth.

And who cares about the Valuev fight? Once again, this was a fight that had the biggest weight difference in the history of all of boxing championship fights, plus Haye broke his hand in the 2nd round. He still managed to beat and hurt the big man, though not particularly entertaining. But a lot of people overlook the fact that nobody has looked good against Valuev. Not Chagaev, not Holyfield.

So once again, I say, he's a good trainer. But not a great one. Not yet anyway.
Chagaev and Holyfield both looked better than Haye but I didn't hear anyone claim their trainers were "master tacticians".

When did Haye beat "a few world champions". He beat Valuev who wasn't even a real world champion. Most people don't even count Haye's title. Booth's tactics for the Wladimir fight were horrendous - he showed he was just a one trick pony in that fight.

Booth is a good trainer, but he is a bit Clive Woodward-esque in opting to focus on the so called 1-percenters, such as the red/blue t-shirts, and developing tactics to steal fights rather than a display of dominance. Like just racking up the score by winning penalty kicks rather than mowing the other team over with tries.
