PDL fight was years ago and Malignaggi has never been KO'd. He's been TKO'd, corner/ref stoppage, but not "on the floor and can't get up" KO'd.

But just like you use the PDL reference, why not use the fact that Broner stopped DeMarco also?

We can't necessarily measure Broner's power at 147 just "yet". Stopping Malignaggi via KO is no easy feat. TKO, sure, but not KO.

I'm not sure Chaves could stop Malignaggi either who is the stronger fighter than Thurman toe to toe.
You said we can't use the Malignaggi fight to measure Broners power at 147 and that Malignaggi has only loss to by tko, but Broner couldn't do either or, in fact I don't remember Pauli being hurt one time during the fight when both Kahn AND Hatton were able to do it back at 140. Also people forget that Pablo Cano dropped Pauli at 147 and rocked him a few times. Id say that pretty much sums up Broners power at 147. I think he should stay at 135 for as long as he can because I don't think he'll be ready for Mathysse either. In all honesty, I'd put money down on Crawford being too crafty for him as we'll. Broner's flat feet and limitations really showed against Pauli. He's not comfortable when he's forced to lead against opponents that he doesn't have a size advantage against or fighters that won't fold when he "chooses" to lead, which has been the story of most of his fights before Pauli.

I just brung up DeMarco because you brought up PDL.

Please don't turn me into a Broner fan. I don't even like the kid and I want him to get his ass kicked just like anyone else does.

I just think guys like Mathysse, Bradley and possibly Marquez beat Broner.

"at this point", I just don't see it in Thurman, yet.
A stoppage is a stoppage, weather it be a TKO or an actual KO Valero stopped him. And if I remember correctly, Demarco didn't come off his stool for the next round so if the doctor did stop it, it was because Demarco showed no signs of wanting to continue and his body language. He was taking a pounding.

broner dropped demarco, and his corner threw in the towel. it was a tko, but demarco was badly hurt. valero never put demarco down, he battered him, but he corner quit. im not saying it means broner has more power, but it does mean broner's power is real. i dont know how one fight against paulie means broners power isnt. he hurt paulie a few times in that fight, and yea, paulie has a very good chin.

The Broner/Demarco fight was at lightweight, we're talking about welterweight Broner against welterweight Thurman here. Broner is a hard puncher at 135, i have yet to see any reason how he brought his power up, considering Pablo Cano (who isn't even known for his power) was rocking Pauli around the ring @147 and dropped him, while Broner couldn't rock him once. Don't confuse Pauli getting his head snapped back by a right hand, confused with him having wobbly legs, which i never seen. That sequence could also have more to do with Broner leaning into Pauli after landing the shot as well, than the actual effect of the punch itself.

Cano almost had Mosley out of there, I wouldn't question Cano's power. Cano ain't the little boy Morales beat around the ring. Another thing, there is a distinct difference between stationary power and mobile power, we all understand that but at times we tend to forget, but in this case that might not even matter as Thurman moves well. I could see Broner hurting those who attempt to stand in the pocket with him at '47.

The fact that i have to "rewatch it" shows that he wasn't seriously hurt, considering i seen the fight live and don't remember him being on wobbly legs at any time. When a fighter is rocked noticeably, anyone will be able to tell. I'm talking about wobbled or rocked, the way Cano had him numerous times.

This video shows EXACTLY what I'm talking about, his head goes back but he completely has his balance and legs together and even dances. If you are truly hurt, you won't be dancing. You'll be trying to get yourself back together.

And Thurman could follow. Lets see who Broner fights next.

thats not true. u dance around and taunt to show u arent hurt. its not a conincidence he does it at times where hes clearly hit the hardest.
