          You mean san diego...??

Nah Texas sounds legit. Canelito and Chavez Jr. both have done really well there.

          So has Pacman.

I like the size of the stadiums and the fans are super legit.

Judges/ref bs aside, I like what Texas is doing. I'd love to attend a fight there.

Also, I like what people are saying about Barclays, its starting to become the place to fight on the east coast.

          Boxing will never die.

I know there is always controversy in Texas but I think the best boxing fans in reside in Texas and I think there will continue to be fights here. In the last year Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio have all had big fights. Where else could Berto from Florida and Karass from Cally draw 9 thousand fans. Mikey Garcia and JuanMa fought in front of about 6k in Dallas and that was with one fighter from Dallas in a 4 round undercard. Houston drew a nice crowd for Donairre and let's not forget Canelo fought in front of 40,000 and Pacquiao in front of over 50,000 in Texas!
Gbp is doing his part, unfortunately we got the shiatty end of the deal over here in dallas, only one good fight (mickey vs juanma) while san antone got the card of the decade... I shouldn't move from san antone, I knew it was a decision I was gonna regret someday.. lol

Macau is the new Mecca of boxing. Not only do the Chinese provide an amazing athlete in the SHHH Man, but cheap labor too!

Ive been to 4 fights in Houston n they always have a bunch of fans

Diaz vs Marquez was crazy at the Toyota center, also Morales vs Danny

I was shocked to see how many fans knew Rigondeaux had when his fight in Houston fell off but he still went to see Arce vs Donaire n evrybody knew him

                  Mecca? Child please!

Texas has great fight fans but make no mistake promotors go there for 2 reasons.

                  1. Home cooking. The A-Side fighter will always be protected and/or given tremendous amounts of good fortune to come away victorious. Whether it be "forgetting" to be given pee test, crooked judges, or crooked refs the only way the A Sider loses is almost always by KO.

                  2. No state income tax.

                  However, Far from a Mecca.

I agree BK mahhomie. I was up in DC this past weekend, but if I was home, you bet your a$$ I woulda been up in the AT&T with the Mrs. Chief enjoying the fights. We went to the Canelo/Trout, and will be at any other fights that hit the Countdown. The H is the biggest fight town in the Great State fasho, but we on the come up.
