Bradley has never proved he is the best in any division. In fact, he's done nothing and looked pretty terrible at 147. All he has is some OK wins over B/C level competition.

I disagree with this. He had 4 good top 10 scalps at 140 without losses or even close fights. Nobody else came close to that. for example Ortiz was 0-1-1

Think that falls under the category of "OK wins over B/C level competition".

If he beats Marquez then he arguably has a case for being put in the hall of fame. His resume would be better than Cotto's, who I think will get in.

It's pretty meaningful. Like I said, nobody came close to his record at the weight. So he separated himself from the pack, in a weightclass considered strong at the time. Beat 2 #2 contenders IIRC. It's not enough for HOF, but it's a good start. The Marquez win would look very good also.

Bradley is a hall of famer but not a first ballot one. His biggest win against Pacman is questionable gift decision. In order for him to get to that level he has to dominate Marquez either by boxing lesson like Floyd did or by knockout or just a savage whooping.

After that I'd love to see him fight the winner of Pac vs. Rios and win that fight with no doubts, I think that would be enough for him to be a first ballot HOF.

I mean if Carlos Palomino and Barry Mcguigan can be first ballot guys who got in on the first try why can't Bradley?

nah....might be the first step towards a hall of fame career..but he lost against pac and got a gift..he didn't fight and beat khan when khan was the biggest thing at 140, and almost got taken out by some unknown #10 ranked jww in his last fight...doesn't really scream hall of fame career..

because almost everyone (boxing media and fans) saw pac winning.....

Beating Marquez is a good start but I don't think it guarantees Bradley gets into the hall of fame. He could easily lose 3 or 4 fights in a row after that if he fights the top guys at 140 or 147. Then what would he say?
