Looked good, he made adjustments to go to the body, and Chaves is definitely better than I thought.

I heard he struggled early from a friend.

They came out sluggin with Chavez quickly (and I do mean quickly) taking the upper hand. Then Thurman after round 3 started to box and move and seized control until finally ending the fight by ko after knocking Chavez down the round before with a body shot.

              Great fight for thurman...

chavez came to win,,, won the early rounds,, was almost bullying thurman in the first 2 rounds,,,

But thurman had great composure and heart,, weathered the storm,, and outboxed chavez late,, caught him with a mean body shot that dropped chavez, then a round later finished him off...

Great fight for both guys,,, highly impressed with thurmans learning curve,,, he was really grown as a fighter...

chavez vs soto karass would be great,,

He looked good against a solid opponent. Was never outclassed. Made adjustments that shut down chavez offense. I was more disappointed in chavez. Seems like he gave up to me

He looked pretty good, he struggled a bit early I guess but he took over as the fight wore on. Chaves was a pretty good test though and he came to win, so that he gave Thurman some issues is not that big a deal, Thurman over coming those issues and closing the show is certainly a good look for him.

By the way you can put Thurman into that list of thinking fighters
