Not happening. Nill, nada, NO.
So I stopped posting solely so this thread would go away~ since it did not here~
It is a game Floyd CAN play though he does it in spots in many fights, as he clinches up all the time and pushes off with his elbow or forearm from all over the ring. He usually does it as a change of pace and to keep guys off balance against a guy like Hearns he would have to play it differently if he wanted to win and Floyd is a very self aware fighter so I am pretty sure he would know where he would have to be to make hay against Hearns. You are vastly underselling what Floyd does in the ring and his overall capabilities.
It is not impossible for a crafty guy like Floyd to make it in against Hearns, it is not easy but it is not impossible either (Hearns didn't have an easy time with Benitez), and inside doesn't mean all the way in this case it means inside Hearns best range which is at the end up his punches where he can get full snap or leverage at a different range (even slightly) he can't generate the same power.
All I will say is this past fights don't make a fight on fight night especially when the guys are all vastly different so what you are using for your speculation is highly flawed. You like the past guys to win easy alright that is your opinion that is fine and if people agree with that view that is perfectly fine also but my money would be on Floyd and I would be loving the odds~

Oh and for the record Leonard to me is by far the toughest fight for Floyd of the three because Leonard was very versatile on offense, both Druran and Hearns are great fighters and would stand a great shot to beat Floyd but there are places where Floyd can beat them surely so while it might not be an easy road he has an avenue to victory (IMO).
Against Leonard Floyd would have big problems because where is he going to do work from that Leonard can't at least match him, Floyd thrives on putting guys in bad spots for them but with Leonard that huge advantage is gone so Floyd would have to kick it up a notch in almost every regard to win. With that said even that is not an impossible fight to win for Floyd, just extraordinarily difficult

I think if floyd starts in say 68, he has a great career at lightweight, and late 70's early 80's roughly at the same age he fought oscar can became the face of boxing,,, floyd would have had classic battles vs arguello, castillo, gomez, mancini, alot of great matchups for floyd in the late 70's early 80's.....
I jsut dont think he would be a rival to the fab four,,, he probably would have been part of another fab four with arguello, pryor, mancini etc

Floyd is very fortunate that he boxed in this era where you can duck and cherrypick
had he been around the late 70s and 80s, he mighta ended up being a plumber
