I doubt Golovkin would try and shoot up his price considering they want to host his last 2 fights on HBO. 700k a piece isn't bargain bin, but it's a hell of a deal to have this fight for the price of one star fighter.
I'm just saying, if Sturm is willing to put up 500k then, he might up it if bidding vs HBO. Then you got comparable money, you gotta consider risk and exposure.

Well, Geale should follow the money.
Sturm the safer fight, so I wouldn't doubt him going to Germany to fight him

HBO could offer Geale good money considering they are having a real hard time landing a decent opponent.

"Showtime" Stevens might get this shot...

Golovkin is coming off of his 14th-straight knockout last month against Matthew Macklin, whom Martinez stopped in March of last year.

"If Stevens wins on August 3, he might get his wish, as we are planning the next fights for GGG," said [Tom] Loeffler. "I have a feeling his bark is louder than his bite if he is really offered a shot at the most feared middleweight champion. If he wins, GGG would have no problem fighting him, since Stevens said he is digging a grave for him."

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight. Doubt Stevens wins but he has a better chance than a lot of guys. At 160 he can really bring a punch.

Looks like Stevens's promoter doesn't want the fight:

The other name on the short list is Curtis Stevens (24-3, 17 KOs), who makes a lot of sense for the fall in New York. First off, Stevens is from Brooklyn. Second, he has a fight set for Saturday, so the schedule lines up rather nicely with Golovkin's.

"I think the fighter is interested, but I think [Main Events chief executive] Kathy [Duva] is hesitant," Loeffler said. "But Stevens is very vocal about [wanting to fight] GGG now. I do know that Curtis Stevens has been calling out GGG. Just don't know if his promoter wants that fight."

Stevens has scored three knockouts in a row since losing at super middleweight and dropping down in weight. He will face Saul Roman (37-9, 31 KOs) at the Mohegan Sun resort in Uncasville, Conn., on Saturday night (NBC Sports Net).

On a conference call last week, Duva alluded to a possible fight with Golovkin.

"Curtis is fabulous because he will absolutely fight anyone at all," Duva said. "So our job as promoters is to build him to the point where, when that title opportunity comes, he will be well compensated for it."

In other news, Sergio Mora has signed with Lou Di Bella. Not sure if that increases or decreases the possibility of a Golovkin v Mora bout.

                  I'll give Duva this, she's great at fixing fights....a.k.a Adamek/chambers and Glazkov/Scott.
Guess she knows if stevens fought GGG, there's no way she can cook the cards
