Comments Thread For: Froch: Groves is Not Ready For Me, But I'll Fight Him

CARL FROCH is convinced that George Groves has bitten off more than he can chew by attempting to take away his two world titles.

The pair will meet on November 23 with Froch's IBF and WBA world super-middleweight titles up for grabs.

But Froch, 35, warned: "George Groves is not ready for me. He isn't ready for this challenge because of the calibre of opposition he has had, compared to me.

"It would have been nice to see George in against a couple of top-level fighters before this fight.

Hate when fighters quote their rankings. 99% of the time governing body rankings mean **** all. When was the last time Groves fought a legitamit top 5 super-middle? Yet he has these rankings? He should know better.

Adam Booth would NOT take the fight unless he was positive of securing the win. I dont doubt for a second that he hasn't analysed both Froch and Groves, what they both bring to the table and every possible tactic they will both be able to use in this fight. Groves win!!

I don't know about that. Career-wise, the exposure and payday it would bring to Groves would be well worth it even if he loses. I should imagine fighting Froch is one of the main reasons for Groves signing with Hearn.

Everyone expects Froch to KO him, but if Groves can somehow take it 12 rounds he will go up in many people's estimations.

I agree with Carl. Groves should have gone after Stieglitz, then come back to the table with a belt in 2014. It'd have been PPV worthy, then.

              good for Froch
Groves is a solid opponent, no reason for Froch to dismiss him
if he's not gonna go to LHW, he has limited options
Groves is a fan friendly matchup Froch can win
targeting Ward showed guts, but woulda been futile
what time Froch has left in boxing, he shouldn't be picky
any credible fight that comes his way, just go for it and win
he's had some tough fights and still looks on top of his game
would hate a guy like Froch to go diva and start sidestepping fights

Haye had done his apprenticeship, fought the best. Wlad was the only step he could take. Groves has many options, he's barely taken his stabilizers off and jumps in with a big-fish that could hurt his career (depending on his performance). They must be very confident of a win, more specifically Booth is very confident.
