Froch and Groves go at it on SSN

Groves will be walked down and his movement based defence is too leaky to escape punishment. Froch will catch him and Bute him.
Carl is just cool as ****, sits back and throws out insults without a hint of care. Got to love a guy who's so nonchalant.Comment

Groves wanted this fight so bad because he sees something he can exploit in Froch regardless of experience. Think about it, he's sparred with Kessler and Froch so he doesn't have any fear in dealing with Froch's style. Groves takes this one, NSB will be as shocked as they were when Rigo outclassed Donaire. You can also tell Froch has a very cavalier attitude towards this fight as if he doesn't think Groves deserves the fight, even though he's highly ranked with all the boxing organizations. When great fighters underestimate good fighters you get: Dawson/Stevenson, Bradley/Provodnikov, Rigo/Donaire type of fights.Last edited by hhwff3000; 07-23-2013, 04:32 PM.Comment

this fight is what i like to call a 'no-brainer'....
boxing's about levels....
and Groves should have taken his time, and got carl on the slide....
he's getting knocked spark out....
if i was adam booth and george groves.... i wouldn't try and 'sell' the fight... i wouldn't try and get under carl's skin....
i'd just remain really 'flat'.... and train as hard as ever.... and pray that carl's motivation drops because the fight build up and buzz isn't what he's used to....
george is already talking really slick.... and that might prove to be a mistake....Comment

I see a lot are picking Groves.
Not too sure what that's based on.
Unless Froch has declined drastically overnight, he beats Groves within an inch of his life.Comment
