  • Bradley should change his name to "The Legend Killer".

    Is Floyd next?

    • So what will be next for Bradley? I'm not really interested in Pac/Bradley 2, so hopefully Rios beats Pac.

            Now he's Top 5 P4P level, IMO.

Still, doesn't change the fact it was a close fight.
I don't know about close, but I will say it was competitive..Timmy was rocking Marquez and clearly landed the better shots throughout the fight..

I think the right man won but it was close. I was expecting a split decision.

I think Bradley landed more shots but Marquez landed "better" shots, albeit seldom.

Great performance from Bradley he proved me wrong for the first time by outboxing Marquez.

              • i am reading many mixed posts, I need to see this fight and judge for myself, I like to know, if marquez got old, or bradley had a good game plan and if it was close fight....

                • I don't think I've ever seen a fighter of Marquez' spirit, determination and heart get so much hate in a close losing effort and go from being known as such a warrior to being among the most hated fighters on here. For a guy who has given as much as he has to boxing and as many great, incredible fights of such a historic nature, there are a lot of fans that seem to have a really weird amount of hate because he beat Pac. Now, Bradley is respected and liked despite still being unable to admit he lost a fight that was a much clearer loss than any Marquez has had.

99% of fighters would have said they won that fight. Provodnikov said he was robbed by the judges until recently. Bradley said he won the Pac fight and it was only close because he broke an ankle and Marquez said he won fights that were all very close and could, many should, have gone his way except the one where he was clearly beaten, which he happily admits he lost.

This was a close but clear victory for Bradley, but of course Marquez is going to say he felt he won. He wouldn't be a champion if he didn't and he wouldn't still be fighting as well if he didn't.

A true champion refuses to admit defeat which is the exact reason they become such champions. Pac refused to admit defeat against Marquez or morales and gave some of the worst excuses ever heard in boxing history. It's the nature of top champions. Get over the hate people.

Anyway, I don't get it I guess and will always see Marquez as a legend because he gave us some of the greatest ring wars we've ever seen and one of the best rivalries in boxing history. It'd be like hating on Gatti because he's got heart. What the **** is wrong with you people?

If so clear then I don't know how close it was..I scored it 9-3 or 8-4,imo either score is good..I don't care that Marquez felt he won the fight,whatever..Bradley clearly won this fight..

I also don't believe Marquez landed the better shots..Esp throughout the fight..Bradley landed the overhand and left hook that kept Marquez very cautions..IMO the better shots were landed by Bradley, they were also more effective as Marquez could not really get any offense going..

A bit of both. Mostly though Marquez looked very slow and was struggling to pull the trigger. Five or more years ago he would have beaten Bradley based on this fight. He just had no footwork, no speed and was throwing one punch at a time. He's pretty much done I think. The Pac fights took most of what was left out of him. He looked old.

In saying that, Bradley had to have the speed and game plan to take advantage of what Marquez has lost and did it well. He used his speed, footwork and movement and took advantage of Marquez' age and decline well. I expected him to do it a little bit easier but it wasn't too bad. Close fight, unless you hate marquez, but still a good, clear win for Bradley.
