I'm not sure...even if he was, I doubt GBP wouldn't throw Molina in with a fight with Cotto. It's win/win for all parties involved, Molina has no fanbase and GBP doesn't actively invest in him.

They'd allow a one-fight deal to get some money out of it and hope for a win that'll only help them sell Molina some more

Steve Kim on his Next Round podcast today once again said that he heard from multiple sources that this Delvin Rodriguez fight is just one of a multi-fight deal with HBO so a Canelo fight won't happen.

Honestly, I think Cotto's people are just lying about being a free agent to save face.

Steve Kim is the only one saying that though. I'm not saying he's lying, but it's odd that no one else has reported on it. If they have I missed it.
