Klimov?
Not a bad opponent IMO.
He just outclassed Molina on FNF this yearComment

Good post...Should be a good fight Delvin has some decent skills he struggled against Trout but Cotto isn't nearly as fast and more set so there could end up being some nice exchanges , one factor that might come up is Delvin has a tendancy to cut guys with how he angles his punches and Cotto marks up fairly easy beware: there could be blood Cotto is the better overall fighter who deserves to be favored
I think Delvin will make it a competitive fight especially if he manages to cut Cotto (which is not a farfetched scenario). His size, speed, durability, stamina, and experience will give him an opportunity to make some noise, but Cotto should be able to handle whatever he's able to mount. Cotto's power at 154 is respectable, but unless he returns to pre-Mosley Cotto by mounting a dedicated body attack and grinding, he will not stop Rodriguez.

Steve Kim on his Next Round podcast today once again said that he heard from multiple sources that this Delvin Rodriguez fight is just one of a multi-fight deal with HBO so a Canelo fight won't happen.
Honestly, I think Cotto's people are just lying about being a free agent to save face.Comment

1) Marquez/Bradley winner
2) Martinez
3) Vanes if he wins WBO title (Is Andrade Top Rank?)Comment

A multi-fight deal with HBO still means he's a free-agent. He's not tied to Top Rank. They can still offer Canelo a shot if GBP would entertain it.Steve Kim on his Next Round podcast today once again said that he heard from multiple sources that this Delvin Rodriguez fight is just one of a multi-fight deal with HBO so a Canelo fight won't happen.

Either way, who cares.
@HBO, there are alot of cool matchups he can get into
JMM/Bradley winner
Maravilla
Provodnikov/Alvarado winner
Pacman/Rios winner (who cares what Roach says, $$ talks)
King Molina
So really, who cares solely about a Canelo fight. I might its a good fight, but it's not that serious. It's not even a legacy fight anymore after his Floyd fight.Comment
