For those complaining about an early stoppage, the ref is supposed to protect the fighter, which he did perfectly tonight. Rodriguez wasn't momentarily stunned, he was completely out of it. It could have already been stopped right after the second when Rodriguez was looking all woozy and disoriented. Every punch after that is potential brain damage, and he got hit HARD multiple times a minute later. What is wrong with you people?

agreed, he was buckled badly at the end of the previous round and never fully recovered, allowing him to continue in the 3rd would've just resulted in even more punishment, good stoppage.

I highly doubt he signed a 1 fight deal with top rank.

Google it, it's common knowledge, people were shocked that HBO didn't ask for options on Cotto.

That's a terrible argument. lol Sure they know the dangers, that's obvious, but a ref's job is to protect the fighters and make judgement calls, and this was a good call. . . He wasn't getting up either way.

Besides I think Cotto would force Top Rank's hand he is a big enough star he can push for stuff and make things happen that most guys likely couldn't (or don't). That is if he has to deal with them anyway.

Delvin is good but it's as if Cotto just destroyed a top level fighter.

Cotto is a fan favorite anyway so him looking like that is bound to get people pumped.

prob cause cotto got schooled in his last 2 fights, this give people hope. he looked good but delvin ***in sucks
