I really don't know who wins this fight, but I do know both of these guys get washed by Floyd, that's why I don't think the winner should get a shot. The winner should take on the Khan/Alexander winner or the Broner/Maidana (I think this fight gets signed very soon) winner. By that time, May 2014 will be here and we'll have a credible opponent for Floyd, because as of right now, no one deserves a shot, nothing but lackluster opposition out at the moment. What would really make things interesting is if Manny can somehow resurrect his career by beating Rios and the winner of Bradley/Marquez so he can get back in the mix. Just thinking about the best matchups possible, I want the sport to get interesting again.

Man, no fighter has ever been hyped as Floyds. You think Matthysse cant kill Floyd in the ring? Seriously, look at the screen in front of you, and type that Matthysse hasnt got a chance of catching up with him and beating the living shít out of him, when even with one punch he can put him on the canvas.
Sure it wouldnt be as easy as Garcia, sure Floyd has a good chance of winning, but if you dont think Matthysse is extremly dangerous for any man on Earth that climbs into a ring with him you are kidding yourself.
Its boxers like Matthysse that Floyd has been avoiding his entirely life, precisley becuase of this, because how much of a threat they are.
A guy that can KO you with a single punch of either hand is a huge risk for someone that is counting more on being swift and avoid getting hit.You can avoid getting hit up to a point. Its boxing after all and you do get punched some no matter how good you are.
So yes, Matthysse has a great chance of KO Floyd, so does GGG.
Given Floyds past I dont see him going against either one but maybe we do get to see that one of those fights. Floyd can fight either one if we wants. GGG can easily drop to fight a catchweight like Canelo.

He will need to be, but he still lacks the defensive skills to deal with floyds hand speed and i could gaurantee that floyd land over 55% of his power shots. who has lucas even faced that mirrors floyds defense?...... That's right no one and you have to be able to hit your opponent to score points. lol

one thing Lucas does that would help him against Floyd is that he's really good at taking away your jab, and he's also a good in and out fighter, he doesn't plod like a Garcia or 154 Cotto, dude has some spring in his step

he's also pretty good at putting his opponent where
he wants them, and can also fight inside and from range

his ability to parry his opponents jab and put their upper body
into a vulnerable position is something casual fans overlook

I see a hell of a lot more "technician" in Lucas than Danny

matthysse easily destroys floyd that's clear. he's not a bum like ortiz or guerrero or completely drained like canelo, he's not a perfect style matchup like marquez. shot mosley had floyd gone but he started doing his joe calzaghe impression and threw nothing but limp wristed arm punches. strange strategy but matthysse wont be doing that even if floyd pays him to throw the fight like most his opponents mattthyse ain't listening. matthysse ko 1.
