Khan with a chin still sucks, just not quite as much. I still cannot believe the amount of "Khan's style is a nightmare for (insert name here)" and anyone who thinks Khan's "style" is good doesn't know what they are talking about. For starters Khan does not even have a style. He is that bad.
Khan's fundamentals are way off and it is evident that as a youngster he relied on his speed to win amateur bouts and never had to perfect his technique because he could score points without good basics.
I will be the First to say Khan Khan is one of the fastest LWW fighters I have ever seen but that is half of the problem, he relied on it too much when learning the game and now he is stuck with bad technique and a poor understanding of the game.
His footwork is some of the absolute worst I have ever witnessed, he can't fight coming forwards or backwards. When he is coming forwards, he starts from really far out and then literally jumps in throwing two shots at the same time trying to land a combo. That is not how you box, you can't just land combos at will, it takes setting up, if you do try without setting it up then you get timed which is what always happens then he gets hurt and starts going backwards and that is when it just becomes embarrassing. He starts moon-walking and bouncing around like a pogo stick.
His punches are terrible, he never turns his wrists, he never gets full rotation and he starts the punch from the wrong angle. Basically he sucks chin or no chin.

What if, what if? You should be asking what if he knew how to actually hold and not be reckless. What if Mayweather had amazing P4P punching power? You make the best out of what you got.

You know what if Khan had a chin? Sure he would get away early on his career, but his chin later on will deteriorate and who knows what damage has already been done permanently to his brain. Good chin or not, taking flush shots to the head will take its toll on you. There's a reason why you don't see a lot of fighters take the kind of shots Khan takes, it will hurt you.

Contrary to popular belief, his chin is fine. You're just not suppose to take the shots he's taking, his defense and vulnerability is his issue.

It's not just about the chin, it's his boxing technique. He gets tagged too much with heavy punches.

khans biggest flaw isnt even his chin. his lack of boxing IQ, composure, inside fighting ability and defense are worse. blaming his chin for all his failures is a lazy excuse, its not even that bad. but khan could have a chin like hagler and he would still not be competitive with mayweather.
