If Khan had a chin..

He would sitll be a limited talent even if he had an iron chin
Don't mistake handspeed and flashiness for content and substanceComment

What nobody has mentioned yet and what is very important when considering Khan is that the main reason he gets hit on the chin is because he hangs it out there. He comes in with his chin sticking out, face up, etc. A chin needs to be protected by the raised left shoulder and the raised right hand. When a left hand punch is thrown, the action should automatically raise the left shoulder muscle, which is further protection, along with the outstretched left arm, and when the left is drawn back, it should be along the same line that it was thrown. Most present day boxers don't so this, I don't know why their trainers don't teach it. Common-sense alone should demand it.Firstly I knew someone would say something like that but what I've asked is completely different. Making Tyson the size you've said would give him an unspeakable advantage to how beastly he already was.
Secondly Tyson was trained very well and his style was made to suit his natural ability which were speed and power/explosiveness.
What I'm asking is imagine Khan being trained in a style to suit his abilities whilst having a decent chin. I don't think it's too far fetched of a question or thought to process.
I'm simply trying to see the potential that could have been but never will be.
Also, Khan has a bad "bow and arrow" habit. I mean that when he throws the left, as well as sticking his chin out, he drops his right hand backwards and away from his chin, which he should be protecting. The way someone does when shooting an arrow in archery.
Which is why boxers in the old days, if they were any good, had longevity as well as the capability to fight almost weekly without taking much punishment. They learnt the basics properly. Without them, they mostly didn't last, and either had short careers or became punch-drunk.Comment

Nice words man I agree..
I like your pic of Mayorga..
He kind of lives to that sentiment in that he may have had shortcomings but the guy came with substance to fight, I wish Ricardo the bestComment

Well his defense would still be lackluster. He's quick, throws nice combos but he's an ambush fighter. he gets hit. Even iron chins can be dented and a huge puncher is eventually going to get to you if your chin is just hanging out there for the taking.
What do you think Khan would be like if he was a defensive minded fighter?Comment

Khan with a better chin + ring intelligence = Very solid possibly P4P contender
Khan with that + power = Top 5 P4P easy
Then + Defence = elite fighter
can't have it all though.
26 years old... has maybe 5-6 fights left in him before age really starts to impact the style he relies on... Enjoy them before he retires.Comment

Khan has tremendous handspeed, agility and heart but he has a low IQ and a poor chin and defense. His chin is poor but it's not as bad as people make out. His defense is absolutely horrendous at times and he doesn't know how to utilize his reach advantage. He's also dumb as a brick, when he gets whacked down he gets back up straight away instead of recuperating for 7 seconds and then getting up...
Plus he is mentally weak. Angel knew exactly what he was doing when he was winding him up and getting into his head. He knew Khan's vulnerabilities and wanted to anger him so much that he would come in firing at all cylinders leaving himself wide open. Kahn actually promised infront of the audience at the press conference to KO Garcia. You could see when the ref was laying out the rules how angry and pumped up Khan was to KO Danny, and like someone said ''you don't go for the knockout, you create openings, and then go for the KO''.... dumbass Khan always overlooks his opponents aswell... didn't even take Danny seriously and was rambling on about fighting Mayweather.Comment
