Pac's more of an attacker, so he puts more hurt on his opponents
when you don't just win, but beat guys up, it's easier to skewer
people can just say he has no legs/chin/defense, etc
Pac's got a better resumed than Floyd does though
it's not about the styles anyway, it's about the merit
I’ve always believed Floyd would have trouble with boxer puncher types. I used to think Khan would give Floyd some problems but that chin of his.

Pac does not have a better resume than Floyd. I say they are about even, but if Floyd goes lineal at 154, beats the lineal 140 champ for the second time and closes out his career with a 160 title (which I think he will) he will surpass Pac. Fighting Rios, Alvarado, Provodnikov, Bradley and Marquez isn’t going to enhance his resume, and besides I think he’s going to lose some of those fights.

Well...he's only fought one perosn with a chance to beat him, Trout. and of his first 18 fights, 14 had less than 50% records. Its' well known that he's been built up on nonen****** and set-ups. it's his own confidence (natural for a 23 year old) that makes him feel that he can beat Mayweather. Maybe he can, but he only has youth and absolutely nowhere within a thousand miles when it comes to experience.

We just have to wait and see. However i know Mayweather wouldn't go near him unless he had examined the situation inside-out and upside-down as well as done massive discussions. He may well think that the earlier he fights him the better, before Alvarez gets enough experience.... That would be common-sense. In fact last year I thought that he might fight Alvarez instead of Guerrero to get him before he fought anyone good, but I was wrong.

People who thought that this version of Canelo had a chance thought the fight would be at 154. Others such as myself stated a long time ago that there were and still are many question marks about Canelo and he needs more time because its clear as day that he needs to fix some issues.

Also, I stated several times that if Floyd fights Canelo, it will be sooner rather than later because Floyd likes to fight you when you are "greener" or "older" or "you beat Berto"

Anyone notice how the floyd fans always call a Pacquiao opponent tailormade but never say that about Floyds opposition?
I think the only tailormade Floyd opponent was Ortiz because he was a brawler. But if you look at his fight with Mosley, he got caught. Mosley was older, and got a little tired tho. Coming off that fight, and going into a fight with Ortiz who's bigger than Mosley, stronger, in his prime, and a southpaw, the general consensus was that maybe Ortiz would be WAAY more dangerous. Floyd was just too hungry at the time. Now Floyd walked down Ortiz. Cotto on the other hand can box going backwards. I was curious to what would happen if Floyd tried to walk him down, Cotto would get to bouncing on his toes and have him running into shots. And thats exactly what happen. And Cotto was washed up. Now Based off the Cotto fight, I thought Ghost was going to TARE FLOYD'S azz apart. Ghost is not a combination puncher, he's a swarmer. When you throw combinations, I can get out of the way. When you throw swarms, the punches are so close together, that I can be clipped. With Ghost swarming, and being so much bigger and taller, and Floyd having so many problems with Cotto who is SHORT and slow, and washed up, I thought Floyd was going to have major problems. Ghost isnt even a brawler, he's a tactical counterpuncher with great reach. He just started using his size advantage to be physical at ww. Most people thought Floyd would be counterpunching on the inside, and laying on the ropes and countering in between. I knew that was impossible, and if Floyd had tried, he would have LOST. So Floyd eliminated those points where Ghost could be competitive. He stayed off the ropes, and he clinched him on the insides and did NO inside fighting. Also, I had NO IDEA that he would have the footwork to outbox a bigger man the way your supposed to. He was EXCEPTIONALLY lightfooted.

JMM was a counterpuncher, and after so many brawlers have tried, at the time this looked like something knew for Floyd. But he was shorter. Mosley was the first legit ww, and at the time we thought his strength would be something knew for Floyd. But he tried and failed.

Ortiz was his second legit ww, and it was target practice with him being a brawler, but I still thought he would give Floyd problems. Cotto was the only shot, damaged fighter he fought, but NONE of them were tailormade because on paper they all look like something Floyd hadnt seen before. He changed up his style for each one tho. Now what style is their that can give him problems?

They both have/do to an extent, and they aren't fully to blame themselves, learn about the business aspect of boxing please.

I honestly thought ORtiz was tougher for Floyd than many believe. Before the cheapshot he was steamrolling through Ortiz's punches. I believe the risk averse Floyd took the safe route with the cheapshot.

Say what you want about Pacquie, but Pacquie always gives knock outs and action pack fights. I mean just recently Pacquie was involved in one of the biggest knock outs of the century.
