    The West Australian reports that Richard Towers was denied a visa to enter Australia, which has forced the cancelation of his scheduled fight with Lucas Browne, a Commonwealth title eliminator on July 25th the Melbourne Pavilion in Flemington, Victoria, Australia. The Department of Immigration rejected Towers' application overnight because of his past criminal record.

      He did 6 years for kidnapping & torture... I can't go to the states for $30 worth of pot, americans can't get visas to work in canada if they have an impaired charge...

        Seems like a real Mickey Mouse set-up. When they tried to do Chavez-Murray, those involved found out well beforehand that it couldn't take place because of Murray's criminal record. Yet here they only found out 5 days before the fight. It really should've been sorted long before that and to be honest it should've been obvious to Towers and anyone he told about his record that he wasn't getting into Australia.
