Brook by KO. If Khan doesn't get the Mayweather shot if he beats Alexander, maybe Khan vs Brook?

Thought it was Mosley, but why Lopez? He just lost his last fight against someone like Maidana. But I guess he is still riding the Ortiz win doe. This is getting irritating now..

It should've been someone better. Lopez pulled off an upset against an overrated fighter, then got stopped two fights in a row.

Would Robert Guerrero have been considered too much of a step up for Brook?

Not a bad fight considering Khan, Alexander, Garcia, and Matthysse are all in action.

I'd make Lope the slight favourite in this fight as I thought he was close to stopping Maidana last time out. Someone who bullies Ortiz and Maidana isn't to be taken lightly.

Brook has the tools to win but his stamina will fail him against a warrior like Lopez.

              Lopez by 7th round KO.

By the way, there is no way Guerrero would fight Brook for £100,000. Don't be silly.

By his promoter? Absolutely. They seem to want to just keep him at home and continue taking baby steps for as long as possible.

Brook should've took a risk and gone to the US, fought somebody highly-regarded and then if he won he could use that to secure a title shot or a big fight. But beating Lopez in the UK won't get that much attention from the rest of the world and won't move him any closer to a big fight.

Brook going after someone like Maidana would've been great and would've proved a lot. Lopez is a guy who is willing to walk through hell to try and win, if Brook beats him easily all it will say is that all the punishment he's taken in recent fights had caught up to him and the win isn't that great.

This isn't a terrible fight by any means but his career seems to have been at the same level for years now and neither he nor his team have done enough to fix that.

It's not a great fight in terms of moving Brook forward since Lopez is coming off two defeats. But Lopez is a well known name because of his tv exposure with Ortiz, Maidana and Alvarez so he might help get Brook more exposure worldwide, which I think is the main purpose of the fight. Basically if Brook can beat Lopez in a more impressive fashion than either Maidana or Alvarez he gets instant acclaim. But there is the risk that he doesn't do so well, even gets beaten by Lopez (which I think is unlikely) and in those scenarios the plan backfires for him.

I think this is a step in the right direction imo..I have no issue with this fight tbh..Lopez is a very game fighter and a dangerous one at that..Good to see Brook going in the right direction..
