It's funny after Vargas got that controversial decision over Josesito I thought Vargas would be pushed and Lopez would fall into obscurity, but in a lot of ways it's been the other way around. I've heard a lot about this Van Heerden guy but I've yet to see any of his fights, would he actually be a legit challenger for Brook?

Brook is wasting his prime. This being a step up is saying something about the rest of his resume. This is like the most minor step up he could take. I would have preferred a K9 fight or a Alvarado or a Mosley or a Zab Judah or a Guerrero or a Berto or just about anyone.

You know what I am going with Lopez on this one, tell me one thing Brook does better or even equal to the quality of opponent Lopez has faced.
And even then he was a live dog in those fights, bar canelo.

I can see both sides of the argument. Lopez is KINDA (even tho I like him) useless cause he's been stopped once in his last two fights. Or twice if you wanna count the Canelo fight. And at the same time its a step up for Brook.

I'll give him a pass but if he doesn't step up the next fight I'm not gonna be able to support him.
