Lennox Lewis stated that Mike Tyson would have never been able to beat him. Agree?

on 1 punch, Lewis got sparked in 2 and 5 by McCall and Rahman
both those guys are lesser fighters and lesser punchers than Tyson
prime Tyson w/ Rooney beats prime Lewis by KO
Tyson might have a problem along the way, but he gets Lewis before 9
woulda liked to see them fight when they were supposed to in 96
Lewis wasn't fully entrenched in Steward's tutelage yet
Tyson was fresh outta prison, past it but not a shot shell like in 02
woulda favored Lewis then, Tyson ditched him knowing the danger

I wouldn't use the mcall and rahman fights as an example. lewis was clearly showing no respect and walked into shots. don't think hed be ****** enough to load up and prance around with his hands down with Tyson. that said,,,I do still agree that Tyson catches him with something big and finishes him. a totally shot to bits Tyson did last into the 8th round against lewis so hed more than likely stick around long enough to land something big on lewis while he was in his prime

Lewis was lazy (or overconfident) in the ring just like Dawson can be. A prime Tyson would have been faster and more focus. Tyson by KO

He didn't avoid him. He just wasn't a finished product when Mike was dominating.

Lewis might fight Tyson the way he fought Tua...only prime Mike had two fists, and Mike went to the body.

When analyzing fighters, don't one side your argument because you look ****** talking about who would beat who. I believe Tyson beats Lewis 10 out of 10 times before he went to jail.
That is why I said that Tyson has a KOs chance and would eventually get him if they fought enough times but just because of those two guys doing what they did, didn't mean that Tyson would do it 10 out of 10. Not even close in my opinion. If you go by history, like you did, Lewis would come back and would KO Tyson in the rematch then make him cry in the trilogy!

I like Tyson but what he did in the early years was not against fighters that belonged in Lewis's level. Also, most were too scared to even fight him. They lost before they even got into the ring with Tyson. Buster Douglas changed that with his performance against Tyson. It showed that if you are big, have a good jab and power and stand up to Tyson (not fighting scared) then you have a chance.
