Peterson was slow, but that's because Peterson is an inside fighter. Garcia isn't slow. He looks slow because he mostly counter punches. Garcia can box and fight inside, Peterson couldn't. I'll give Matthysse props if he beats Garcia.

Coming from the guy who made a thread on why peterson is going to destroy matthysse... However after peterson gets destroyed now you sees his flaws. Man when Lucas destroys Garcia you will find more reasons to why Lucas won.

Normally when fighters move up they are fighting bigger guys and you want them to prove they belong, but that wouldn't apply to Mayweather vs. Matthysse or Garcia. They are his size.

I don't want a welterweight tuneup for either, I want Mayweather to fight the winner. It's the best of the options I can see.

This would be like Hagler-Mugabi, Mugabi moving up and was a fearsome undefeated puncher at light middleweight. I don't see a problem moving up one weight class especially when your opponent is not actually that big for the weight you are moving in to.

Nobody with Top Rank is going to be in any talks with Mayweather or GBP. Might as well not even mention those guys
