If the Klitschkos were two brothers from Detroit or Philadelphia...

If the Klitschkos were two brothers from Detroit or Philadelphia, and otherwise exactly the same (size, education, styles, records, titles, dominance, longevity) would the people who hate them and continually post negative comments about them feel the same way?

Or would their haters feel very differently about them?

You're right, the answer is obvious (although the Klitschko haters will deny it).

For some of their haters it would make a difference. Not for all, either way the Klitschkos should get more credit.

That has no say on their style not being all that appealing to the masses or the state of the heavyweight division.

People hate them because they're not American, plain and simple.

People want the greatest HW's to be from their country, and they clearly aren't and that alone upsets them. As an American myself, I'm not sure why so many of them feel this way. I have absolutely no problem with the best Heavyweights in the world being from Ukraine.

It's not only country but the color as well with general pop and a lot of hardcore fans. They get a sense of pride when they see one of their own dominating as well as feeling pain and blame it on the division when being dominated.

Look at Golovkin, he doesn't have to be American to get much love, and I see your sportin' his avatar.

People just don't care to talk about the heavyweight division, I still watch whenever I get the chance though.
