Canelo only throws a few shots, so it blinds people from seeing how fast he's really coming to the game.
He has good hand speed, but nothing I haven't seen before. As for his footwork and footspeed... ick

Duran's talking about Canelo punching Floyd all over, but he's not factoring in Canelo's lack of stamina and that he only throws punches for 1 minute of the round. He's not a volume puncher or an authentic pressure fighter, he's a static counter-puncher and I don't see him breaking Mayweather down in the manner Duran suggests.

Power aside, Alvarez is tailor made for Mayweather. Alvarez has to make that power count in the first couple of rounds before Floyd gets into his rhythm or it's curtains (all imho).

They were talking about Mayweather and put Canelo's name in there instead, when talking about people trying to hit him in the head, LMAO.

I saw a commercial on FX tonight and it was about sports. It had a bunch of different athletes "pulling out a tough win" or whatever and one of the athletes was Canelo. In his clip he was hitting an African American man in the face and having his hands held up in the air with the WBC belt around his waist.........maybe it's a sign?

Easier said than done Mr. No mas! You would TRY to bust Floyd up! I hope Canelo doesn't take a quitters advice.

Bingo...the first post to mirror my thoughts. It's so easy to give instructions, but not so easy to carry them out. It's all been tried before. Mayweather will foil yet another attempt to muscle him.

Cherrypicker is gonna potshot and hold... the Ginger isn't big enough and he is also a counterpunchernot a pressure fighter... only Margarito could probably implement the strategy that Duran is suggesting

An example of what I mean is Diego Corrales had a similar game plan and we see how that turned out. He couldn't pull it off. I don't think this will be Canelo's game plan though.
lol So true. If "Canelo" were Duran, he'd beat Mayweather. But he's not....

Same old tired story, you need to throw 100 punches per round, you need maul, swarm, pressure Floyd!

Floyd's real weakness is the first two rounds while he measures his opponent, if you can even call it that. After that, you might well turn off the tv, and start thinking about how the next guy is going to beat him.

Duran gave his opinion. It is neither right or wrong. It's his opinion. I'm not a follower. Never have been, never will be.

there's no one style to beat anybody. you can outbox him if you're good enough. you can can attack him if you're good enough. if you asked pernell whitaker he'd give you a different answer than duran did.

duran could beat floyd fighting that way because he was good enough to do it. i don't think canelo is.
