Then this might be the solution to the TR/GBP feud. That is, boxers signing up with independent promoters so they'll be able to deal with everybody.

Mares, obviously, have not been getting the fights he wanted under GBP. He has not even reached the $500K awarded to fighters with his caliber. He got a mere $300K in his last fight, compared to Donaire and possibly Rigo for about $1M.
