The most popular fighter in Boxing is Floyd Mayweather and he has a style that is technical and haters think is boring.

He's not popular because of his boxing. He's popular (if that's the right term) or sells because of his 'love to hate' personality. People always complain about his fights being boring.

He isn't popular because of his boxing, but without his boxing he would not be undefeated or the p4p king, and thus would not be nearly as popular.

He developed that nice guy personality recently but still talks smack about De La Hoya but De La Hoya is a terrible promoter anyway. Richard Schafer is the Genius behind GBP.

It's a competition. Either people are entertained by the interest of the execution of the sport or they aren't. If they aren't then boxing is not for them unless two face first brawlers are "boxing" each other. Which is fine. That's what casual fans usually are like. Hardcore fans are interested in anything that gets you the W. They appreciate skill and strategy.

Floyd is Floyd, he'll always come back to talking smack. His Dad and Uncle are still doing it at 50+
