dont know why all you guys are hating. If it was up to you guys boxing would be dead. Yes I appreciate technicality but i prefer to watch entertainers. Some of u guys talking about changing the sport are nuts. If there were no matthysses, maidanas, rios, golovkins, pacquiaos... etc. boxing would suck. Imagine if every fight was, mayweather vs trout, mayweather vs lara, lara vs trout, sturm vs. gaele etc. You need the clash of styles and you need the all out wars too!

            Entertainment >>>

Rigo wins but I won't care if, who, or when he fights.

Mayogra loses/wins but he entertains, and I would tune in when he fights.

Sorry...Boxing don't work that way and never will! When a kid starts boxing it is no ***in Trainer that Trainers is fighter to take punches to the face so you can be entertaining. Not In Golden Gloves, Not In Amateurs and Not In The Olympics! Kinda shows you how ****** and simple minded some of the Boxing fans and Boxing Media and Networks like HBO have become. SAD!

Priority #1 should always be to WIN! And if the fight just so happen to be entertaining then that is great for the fans. But I don't want Boxing to become "FAKE" for these new fans to be entertained
Actually that's not entirely true. I am just an amateur, but when I do some slick slipping in someones face my trainer claps and says, "Eso! A eso le encanta a la gente!!"

But you're right, trainers don't actually train with the purpose of entertaining, their goal is to have their fighter win with minimal damage. The answer is obvious as someone said above, People who complain about people like Rigo obviously don't appreciate the sweet science or know boxing, as Rodger Mayweather would say, or, are that very rare breed of real boxing fan that only likes punchers, but they are rare, saying you enjoy boxing, and getting bored by a master boxer is contradictory.

the problem with a fighter having a mentality of being afraid to lose is he becomes careful with picking his opponents

vs a fighter who comes to entertain, thus fighter picks the best againts him out there for people to enjoy and have fun watching

so as a fight fan, which of this two would u like?

If I could only pick one? The more skilled boxer every time. As a student of the sport I want to watch the highest level I can, I want to learn from the best.

                    Let's set things straight.
No one is stopping any boxer to fight the way he wants to fight.
But don't complain if people are not flocking to see your boring fights.
Fans pay to get entertained, not be subjected to watching boring runners
and clinchers. Mind-boggling why this is so complicated to some people.
This sport is dead with only streamers watching.
                    Sigh......

I thought boxers turn Pro to make $$$$$?

The fans pay your bills, so you bet your a$$ you better entertain, i mean thats the difference between a Rigo and a Manny Pacquiao. One fights for Peanuts, while the other is driving exoctic cars and making moves in his country. And hey we all got to go sometime, all the ATG do, but it's by no means the end of the PacMan, you better believe that.
