This fight will help to establish Austin Trout as a legit contender.

I don't know why people think a fatty Andy Ruiz has the potential to be a HW contender.

He has good boxing skills to go along with that speed. His power combined with his speed will put guys to sleep.

It has nothing to do with where a fighter is from, I have favorites from all over the world, including many from Latin America.

I have respect for Joe Hanks because he comes in shape. I have no respect for a professional athlete who is at least 60 pounds overweight.

But it's a good matchup because it will help Hanks become established as a contender.

Both Ruiz and Hanks deserve respect for putting their unbeaten records on the line so early in their careers. Its much more refreshing than watching slugs like Pianeta and Wach pad their records against bums and has beens and parlay that into a ridiculously unworthy title shots. That said, Ruiz should drop a few pounds. He is clearly very talented, but the excess weight will do him no favors as he moves up in competition.

Genetics has a roll (no pun intended) in one's body type so as long as the kid can go the rounds i dont care what he looks like. I have not seen much of Hanks but what i have seen he is a good athlete and has fast hands also but to me Ruiz seems to me more of a fighter. Hanks likes to carry his lead hand low and i think that could be a big problem for him in this fight because Ruiz keeps his hands nice and high and is a little bit faster.
Ruiz's management seems to like his chances and so do I.
