    Are you kidding? No.

Everyone loves a comback. If Floyd lost a fight and came back and became champion again, he'd have a whole slew of new fans. Casuals eat that stuff up.

I can tell you this and I think everybody notices that most boxing fans and even boxing purist can't stand him or just flat out hate him. So why do they watch? If you get on you tube or even here on boxingscene there seems to be more hate than love for Floyd, but he sells the most PPV and many of them admit they watch to see him lose that zero or get beat up Ko'd etc.

So IF Canelo beats him or Ko's him and he loses that zero, how much will that affect his PPV selling power and if he can't sell enough PPV what happens with the Showtime contract IDK what do you guys think.
I don't think it will hurt I think it could play out stronger because people will only hate him so much they want to see him get whooped again and again and again, there are still people who enjoy seeing Roy get KO'ed whenever he does because they hated him that much.

all my points on Mayweather to win the fight btw

Making the point it takes two well known fighters to sell the fight, it's not just about Floyd, a lot of people watch for the other guy in the big fights.
I was commenting only about domestic US sales.

It would reason that if they are watching for the other guys (the ones you mentioned) they would do better without floyd. Yet people don't watch them as much when he is fighting someone other than floyd.

If peopl only buy to see floyd lose than yes his sales would fall. If they watch for other reasons sales wont fall.

It could actually go up. If he lost an epic or controversial fight to Canelo the rematch would be massive as could a Pac fight if he won that rematch as people would see it as a competitive fight again.

His cut of the ppv would drop dramatically though, so his earnings would drop overall.
