Not really. You lose three times in the UFC and you're meant to get kicked out. The whole losses don't matter in the UFC thing is a total myth.
Silva's entire persona was built around his dominance in the UFC. Just look at his previous PPV numbers, not long ago he was mainly an undercard fighters but they built him up atop his dominating career in the UFC. It got eyes on him, which is the important thing about building fighters up. Now he has the attention on him those people won't just leave immediately. If anything they'll give him one last big chance to make up for it, then they might start leaving.
Which is why I think Manny fighting Rios for a PPV is a total mistake for him. People want to see him redeem himself in some fashion. They'll tune in to see a fight involving Bradley or JMM because there's some air of redemption around it. Pac fighting Rios instead will just make those same fans lose interest in him over time.

I'm sorry but your comparing apples to oranges. Having a loss in boxing is much worse then having a loss in the UFC. Especially when you constantly use your zero as a marketing gimmick.
