I think the movie "Rocky" causes fighters like Rigo issues!

See, in the movie Rocky, it's about 2 FLAT FOOTED boxers, exc Appolo, ****ing it out...blow from blow....%0 defense.

You got guys like Rocky yelling "HIT ME" HIT ME" and casual fans and boxing fans want to see that, they think that boxing should look exactly like the movie Rocky, 2 guys just slugging it out.
The term boring boxer wasn't as popular until the movie Rocky.

Now when you don't stand infront of a opponent with your hands down and allow yourself to get hit cleanly, it's called being bored, coward.

So we're gonna blame Rocky now for people being bored

Look at Ali vs Frazier...that **** happened in 1971. That was one of the most historic and grueling fights among countless others before, but chill...blame Rocky

Rigondeaux-Donaire was a battle of two counter punchers, people need to chill out. I remember when Mayweather was labeled as boring solely for his performance against Baldomir, and that stuck with him for a while after. It's all styles, put Rigondeaux in there against any aggressive fighter and he'll do serious damage.

That´s what most people want to see in a boxing match, you think the movie would have been as successful if the character was a slick fighter like Pep,Locche or Floyd? I don´t think so.

I saw people stop watching the De La Hoya fight too like around the 6th-7th round. When they announced the decision, even the casual fans were like, "Split Decision???"

i love watching a boxing clinic rigondeaux/mayweather etc.
but you can't tell me when two fighters go at it landing devastating blows on each other isn't more exciting. fans jumping out of their seat, obviously because theres more action
theres a reason why usually the most memorable brawls were made fight of the year.

do you think in roman times spectators wanted to see a guy stabbed to death? hell no they wanted to see his head removed from his body
