He has been operating at world level for what? 5 years now or something and has one loss to Garcia. He was boxing his head off before that left hook as well. He really beat Peterson even though he was facing a man who was juiced off his ****. Wins over Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah also.

People are labelling Brook world class and his best win is a rematch victory over Carson Jones or Matt Hatton.

      Pretty much,

People can say what they want about Amir Khan but he's got balls. Something that is lost on most fighters these days. Look at this run of fights: Barrera, Kotelnik, Salita, Malignaggi, MCloskey, Maidana, Judah, Peterson, Garcia.

Aside from Froch, who has had a run like that in boxing today?

I think Brook stops Khan inside 4. I have no faith in Amir's chin anymore.

Who was Prescott's best win before splatting Khan, or Garcia's really, for that matter?

Khan might have been mixing around some good fighters but has looked impressive the whole fight against Kotelnik (fringe), Judah and Malignaggi. He usually gets shake, rattled and rolled because he is fast but pretty flawed. Besides average footwork, the thing I've noticed is that he throws punches from his waist when throwing combos. And is pretty predictable for someone who can time him. Oh, and another thing, his inside game is poor.

Brook may not be the best, but he has decent enough technique to time Khan and he has the power to hurt him. It's not a blow out either way. I still wish Khan could back up his "back bigger and better" against the people who whooped him, but it never seems to happen.

Khan was a kid at lightweight when he lost to Prescott. I think Garcia has proven he is a world class fighter.

Looked impressive the whole fight? Brook didn't do that either time against Carson Jones ffs!

As for fighting the people that beat him - he signed the PEDerson rematch before he failed a drug test and has repeatedly said he wants the Garcia fight again. Prescott is just far too irrelevant now

Imo Khan beats him and rather easily at that.

Stylistically he's a problem for anyone with his speed. But his chin and defense are so bad one shot can also end him in any fight

                  Who THE **** knows?

Brook has never fought a world class boxer in his life. Anybody can look good fighting bums and mediocre fighters.

The guy is 27 years old and still hasn't fought a credible opponent. Amir on the other hand, was 22 when he became world champion.

I'm getting sick and tired of posters still mentioning the Peterson fight.

                    1. The majority had Khan winning (including the 2 points deductions)
                    2. Peterson was using performance enhancement drugs

How come Khan isn't world class if he was in a competitive fight with a top 10 fighter of the same division, who oh by the way was cheating to enhance his performance?

On top of that, many feel that a pressure inside fighter would be Amir's kryptonite. Peterson is just that. IMO, the best inside fighter of the 140 division at that time.

So what it comes down to is that Amir overcame his kryptonite on PED's.

Pretty impressive if you ask me

Khan might have been a "kid" but he still does the same ****** things and still can't take a decent shot. Look, I think Khan a very fighter with bags of heart, but his self awareness, or lack of it, has always been the worst flaw of all. He claims to make progress but still gets caught mid flurry by the left hook...... and blamed it on being off balance against Diaz (Really)? Prescott became irrelevant by sweeping the issue under the carpet... par for the course.

Brook hasn't proved himself the better fighter, but neither had Garcia at the time he faced Khan. That's the point. Brook may not have the resume, but I think he has enough to time and hurt Khan badly. It's no dead cert and never can be with chin like Khan's.
