If Roach thought Pacman had a chance, I wouldn't really take him seriously. Canelo has a far better shot right now than Pac ever did.

I don't think any of us can argue that, Mayweather can be surprising at times, the fact that he took it to Cotto, Ortiz and actually boxed the not as physically strong Guerrero, it's weird at times. In this case I think most of us can agree and say with certainty that Mayweather is gonna box all the way, like Miguel Vazquez box, though Floyd will be landing hard leather. It's just inevitable, the size differential is gonna be too big fight night.

Floyd is capable of doing a lot of things in that ring. He's a special fighter. Age will be his undoing. Mayweather will get too old someday and someone will finally beat him.

Roach is not mentioning anything about Pac for either of these two and is always slating Mayweather for his fighting style. Pacquiao is coming off of a devastating loss due to this same all action fighting style. The knockout was debilitating and horrific..is this what you want other fighters to walk into Freddie???

He's not lying. Casual fans like action, Boxing fans appreciate Mayweather's skill. I love watching Floyd fight, but being as I've watched most of his fights with casual fans as well, the majority of the room cleared out for his fights with Baldomir, De La Hoya, Marquez, Mosley, and as recent as Guerrero. Floyd doesn't care to be extra exciting to please the fans more than simply just getting the job done.

I agree with Roach, Mayweather isnt going to try and out slug canelo, he will win by outboxing him. Also Canelo *is* still inexperienced at the top level. Mayweather picked him the year before Canelo would really peak. Canelo himself said the fight came a year before he was expecting it to.

Mayweather knows he can beat him now. Mayweather only fights fighters he knows he can beat. And of course Pacman had a chance back then - thats why that fight never happened... It was the biggest money fight in boxing and it never happened...
