If Alexander sparks out Khan in a few rounds, would he be more respected?

    Devon Alexander has a GREAT CHIN and is a tough dude I don't see how Khan is going to hurt him especially with this being his first fight at 147, his Power was Average at 140 I don't expect for him to all of a sudden have more Power at 147. Anybody that can take punches from Matthysse and Maidana and still be able to go 12 Rounds, has a damn good chin.
    Alexander is not a resilient fighter though. He usually starts to fold if he goes a few rounds behind. It's not like Bradley had any great power but he just stayed on him and eventually he wilted.

      Bradley also bull rushed into Devon head first and gave him a nasty cut early in the fight.

        The cut wasn't that bad. He quit - something Khan would never do.

          I doubt Alexander stops Khan so if he stopped him in a few rounds I would be impressed.

              I expect most guys at 147 to stop Khan.

              I simply can't trust him to hold up in a higher weight class with no defence and a terrible chin. Khan has good speed and a lot of heart, but those other things outweigh his strengths IMO.

                Alexander is a tough guy for anybody to beat. Just nothing special about him...and is as irritating as Khan. Battle of the Irritants?

                  I don't think Khans chin is his only big problem, he really needs to add some muscle to his quads and calves, he has been hurt yes, but then so has Maidana, Ortiz, and Peterson. He can really improve his ability, not miraculously but certainly benefit his wobbly legs. He must look back at his own fight with Kotelnik and create a carbon copy performance. The Khan that beat Kotelnik would run circles around Devon all night to a comfortable UD. If he can add 3-4lbs of quality muscle on his legs to make that 147 I really believe he can;
                  A. Improve his stability
                  B. His punching power
                  C. Overall effectiveness in a fight

                      As i have said in other threads

                      i expect khan to win just because like other posters have pointed out, alexander a front runner and khan a fast starter so i think that devon gets behind early and loses a UD..

                      But if devon can ko khan in this fight, i would be impressed and he would be a legit top 3 welter, with dominant wins over maidana and khan... And he would deserve to be in the running for a floyd fight,,,,
