Adds credibility to his claim that he was saying it before Golovkin became so well known. Listen to Elie, he referred to Golovkin as simply a Russian Champion. Not that it matters much but it at least calls into question the story that he has never been down, even in sparring.

Dean, these guys are brought in for a reason. That's why they are called sparring partners. When two guys fight they are opponents. When two guy SPAR, they are partners.

True fans know what sparring brings to the table. We don't worry about those guys being put down in sparring or sporting a shiner. This is boxing.

I saw the video. GG went down like he was shot and took the full 10 count and then some. I know he couldn't take a body shot. Too much emphasis on power and offense, and not enough situps.
