When sparring, especially with someone like GGG hunting you down, these guys will fight hard. Gennady is only human and can get dropped like everyone else. I think the respect these sparring partners have for him is really cool though. They actually seem super excited to even talk about him and the experience. LOL I know this Frank. I never put any weight on all these sparring stories. back in the day the Philly fighters were known to go beyond sparring. That is why so many of them peaked at such a high level, but wore out quick.

Sparring are always friendly affairs. With all the money on the line, if someone goes in there with a chip on their shoulder they get removed from the camp. Too much money on the line to risk cuts, injuries ect. When I see sparring, I only watch technique getting worked on, it is never fighting at 100%. It is always relaxed and fun.
