I don't think wlad and vitali have done anything to hurt boxing, but at the same time they are in a position where they could get people more excited about the hw division and draw more attention to it. For example, would the hw division be better off if 10 years ago Wlad would have started wearing flamboyant pimp suits and constantly hurled racist insults towards other fighters? Telling his opponents he's gonna pimp slap them with his jab all night long and there ain't nothin they can do about it and that after he'd make them work the streets? Or what if his manager or someone got him to incorporate the moonwalk or little breakdancing moves into his style and dressed him up in old Adidas track suits and had him walk out to run dmc? He could have done breakdancing performances in times square to promote fights and stuff.

Give it 10-15 years after Wlad retires. You'll be surprised how things will change.

But also, Larry Holmes was lineal, undisputed champ or 8 years or so, was 48-0 and made a crazy amount of defenses. He fought in 4 different decades and though he was in an interim era if you will, he was still exciting.

But it's an opinion. But he was in some legendary fights. That's what Wlad is missing. Unfortunately for him, his biggest rival in boxing terms is his brother. If they weren't, we could have had 10 years of rivalry.
Wlad just passed his record of 8 years as a champion

Unlike Floyd or Broner, Wlad is a grown man.

There are more than a few people who feel he didnt win the Norton, Williams, Witherspoon fights.

Wlad is head and shoulders above the rest of the heavyweights. I don't think it's his fault that he's the best guy right now. The division does lack drama as a result but the onus is on the other fighters to improve.

Please Rigo doesnt clinch everytime Donaire came in. Donaire was a P4P fighter and Rigo traded heavy leather early and then was just too fast landing and dodging punches. Wlad clinches everytime you get close to him like that fairy Molina against Kirkland.

As much as this may offend you, so be it. You have no right to say this about a guy who has risked his health going into fight the likes of David Haye, Corrie Sanders, Chris Byrd etc. If you could last more than 6 mins in a ring with them guys, then maybe you could talk, but I highly doubt you could. He fight's every current heavyweight he can, he's been KO'd and came back from it, what more do you want from this guy? He isn't a 25yr old machine either he is almost touching 40yrs of age.

If this is pure sarcasm: thumbs up!

If not: maybe that kind of stuff would be considered as funny/entertaining/whatever in the US, but I would be considered as ******ed in Europe, including the country where the Klitschkos come from.
