Listen, if he were American, we'd never hear about this boring crap.

You have it all figured out how terrible Wlad has been for boxing and what a poor fighter he is. I don't agree with anything you said about him. I think he is a great heavyweight champ and history wil be kind to him because he deserves it. Yes he defended his title against a few poor challengers but he also fought every top heavyweight in the world. What heavyweight did he duck? I'll answer my own question. None. He defends his title often unlike many champions. He was KOed three times and he had the willpower to improve himself into a heavyweight that is hard to beat. He has not lost a fight over nine years in case you have not noticed. Lennox Lewis was twice KOed in his prime by two heavyweights that were not that good. In each case Lewis was knocked out cold with a single punch. As for him being such a terrible fighter to watch and getting rich, that just does not make sense. If he is rich from boxing that means lots of people are paying to see him fight year after year. I think some fans don't like him because he is a white guy from Europe and nobody can beat him thus far.

I agree with most you say. But the comparison between Lewis' two losses and Wlad's three losses cannot be put in favour of Wlad IMO. And Lewis wasn't KOd cold. He finished the fight against McCall on his feet. He also avenged both defeats whereas Wlad got big bro to do the worst job against Sanders for him.

Władimir Klitschko himself said that its impossible to compare fighters from different era with him. He's in top 10 right now and will be Top 5 Atg by the time he'll hang em up IMO.

Muhammad Ali is the greatest HW of all time and that will not change for a very long time.

The OP must have walked in on his girl getting DP'd by Wlad and Vitali.

It's the only explanation for such drivel.

Wlad won't ever be considered top 5. And it's not his fault, but he's simply champion in too bad of an era. Top 10 yes, top 5 no.

I never said that Lewis' Ko losses were worst than Wlad's KO losses I was pointing out to the threadstarter that a highly respected heavyweight champion like Lewis suffered two crushing defeats and went on to be considered one of the best heavyweight champions. If someone was trashing Lewis the way he was trashing Wlad I would defend Lewis.

Me included. Or top 6 anyways. But there are a few things that made his era stand out from this era, and also why Larry Holmes in particular is better. His wins over Shavers, Norton, Cooney and Mercer, Witherspoon, Frazier, Berbick, Bonecrusher, L. Spinks and Ali are probably better than or equal to anything Wlad has on his résumé, lets be honest. But also, Larry Holmes was lineal, undisputed champ or 8 years or so, was 48-0 and made a crazy amount of defenses. He fought in 4 different decades and though he was in an interim era if you will, he was still exciting.

But it's an opinion. But he was in some legendary fights. That's what Wlad is missing. Unfortunately for him, his biggest rival in boxing terms is his brother. If they weren't, we could have had 10 years of rivalry.
