His brain cascaded against his skull causing him to blackout.
Can someone explain to me how Roy Jones went down so hard against Glen Johnson?

I think it was the accumulation of everything that happened before. Johnson was in Roy's face, trading, and landing hard punches the entire fight. Not to mention the KO by Tarver earlier probably had lingering effects.Comment

The back of his head slammed hard on the canvas as he fell that is what stiffened him up.Johnson is not a power puncher.. I don't even think he was a average puncher. I feel like Johnson got below average power at 175 and the shot he hit Roy with didn't look that hard. Yet Roy was out for at least 5 minutes and looked like he was in serious pain. Don't start with that 'glass jaw' ****.. because I doubt that's the case.
That punch never hurt him at all he got hit and tried to cover up and than johnson pushed him over hard with his left and Roy fell slamming his head hard on the canvas which is what took him out, if you slam your head like that you will be put out
Watch the video it wasn't that punch that put him out it was him being shoved over and slamming his head to the canvas, but lol at Jim Lampley almost happy that Roy got ko, he even says NOPE really fast when Merchant asked will we ever see Roy in the ring again.
Also why are you in the red? I don't see any trolling from you at all.Last edited by hectari; 07-14-2013, 11:50 AM.Comment

Glen Johnson hit Froch with some huge right hands, one of them burst his eardrum. Roy was possibly off the juice at point too.Johnson is not a power puncher..
